Terms and conditions

Focusburg is a shared 3D town in your browser. You can run focus timers, read free books and short stories, play small games, talk to the town's characters, dress up your character, and build and decorate a house. Effort earns XP and bricks, the in-game currency.

We want it to help you study and work better, but it is a tool, not a guarantee of any result.

• You need to be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, please use Focusburg with a parent or guardian's permission.
• Give a real email address and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
• We email you a link to verify your address. Until it's verified you can play, read and save progress, but you can't subscribe to Pro and your house isn't shown in the shared neighbourhood. Google accounts count as verified.
• You can change your email from your profile. You'll need your current password, and the new address must be verified again before those features unlock.
• One person per account. Your display name is shown to other players, so keep it respectful and don't impersonate anyone.
• Guests can play without an account. Guest progress is not saved and guests don't get a plot in the neighbourhood.

Focusburg is a shared space. Please don't:

• harass, threaten or bother other players, or use offensive names;
• cheat, tamper with scores, bricks or the presence server, or use bots and scripts;
• try to break, overload or get unauthorised access to the service;
• use the service for anything illegal.

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

Bricks, XP, levels, clothes, furniture and house parts are part of the game. They have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money and can't be transferred to other people. We may rebalance prices and rewards to keep the game fair.

Your house stands on a plot in the shared neighbourhood and other players can see it from outside. Only you can go inside.

• Pro costs ₹59 a month and unlocks every game, their challenges, and Pro-only clothes and furniture.
• Payments are handled by Razorpay. We never see or store your full card or UPI details.
• Pro renews every month until you cancel. Cancel any time from your profile ("Cancel subscription"); you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Except where the law requires otherwise, payments for a period that has already started are not refunded. If something went wrong, write to us and we'll sort it out fairly.
• If we change the price, we'll tell you before your next renewal.

The classic books in the library are public-domain works from Project Gutenberg, offered free. The short stories, characters, town and artwork are ours; please don't copy them for other products.

We work to keep Focusburg running smoothly, but it may sometimes be unavailable, change, or lose features. We may update these terms; if the change is important we'll show a notice on the site. Continuing to use Focusburg after an update means you accept the new terms.

Focusburg is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, lost data or lost profits, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

You can delete your account any time from your profile ("Delete account"), confirming with your password (or your email, for Google accounts). Deletion is immediate and permanent: your progress, house, items and scores are removed and can't be restored, and an active Pro subscription is cancelled with no further charges. You can also write to support@focusburg.com. We may close accounts that break these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction, without taking away any rights you have where you live.
